    Beesball Vs BC

Time for some baseball! No. 14 Georgia Tech Welcomes Boston College This Weekend - Georgia Tech Official Athletic Site

The WREK quirky play calling with Nolan Alexander and Wade Rogers is growing on me. Not enough to rivet me to the sofa, but just good fun. I'm glad we have it.

Let's hope we find the 10+ runs games again! But first some yard work and then the game.

Wow, if I heard it right on the pre-game show from Colby Wren, we scored more runs in our previous week than BC has scored all year. Damn, I hope that continues.

    Final score 12-5 Jackets!

UNC lost to the U 4-1 and Merryland beat F$U 5-3.

Clemson and UVa went into extra innings with UVa. winning 6-5 in the 11th.

Stinger, for some reason I'm not worried about the rest of the ACC. We'll get our chance at them! But I would like to see us in first place!

Great relief pitching. Good fielding with two double plays but one error. This offense is amazing. What I like about the hitting is how careful we are in waiting for good pitches. We get a lot of walks (stats later) by making the opposing pitchers throw strikes. And we are good at staying alive in 7 more pitch at bats to get those walks. Stinger - any idea why we are hitting so much better across the board this year at getting on base?

Zane Evans is tearing the cover off the ball. If he keeps this pace up, he will be a POY candidate in the ACC and the nation.

This is a flat out amazingly powered team. We are only a little over 1/4 of the way through so some weaknesses will be exposed when we play better teams. Starting pitching will probably get shuffled some with some of the current relievers moving up to the starting position.

One thing we have done twice in two games which is cool is the double steal - successful both times. It seems we have more Snoddy type speed on this team than expected. Also beat out a good number of bunts and in field hits.

First conference sweep of the season. I have a feeling it will not be the last. Once again strong starting pitching by Cole Pitts and timely hitting. Zane Evans had Another big game. This team is never going to be out of any game. I'm not saying they will win out. I'm saying the offense is good enough that will keep opposing pitchers on their toes the whole game. Tech scoring five or six runs in an inning multiple times in a game is always a possibility.

Good offensive game. Scored 9 runs and left 11 on base!

Murray had his fourth error of the year, but the rest of the in field is doing really well with two more double plays today.

Cole Pitts had probably his best start of the season. Pitching, defense and offense. What else is there?

It was good to listen to as I painted a ceiling for almost the entire game. Time for some muscle relaxing beer.
