Buck Farmer Loses It Against Rutgers

    He gives up a walk.

Now 30 strike outs and 1 walk on the season. No earned runs in 3 games.

GT leading 9-1 in the 7th.

    This team is pretty good, but we need to look for a new coach since we have lost one this year. 8-1 going into the night. {Basinga}

Our freshman Murray finally got a HR. Just happened to be a grand slam.

Maybe this team will be special?

GT wins 13-1. But we had a freshman error to give the un-earned run. Fourth game in a row over 10.

Poor Rutgers, in the 8th we put in a new pitcher when we are up 13-1. The pitcher is only a MLB draftee getting some reps. And then in the 9th a brand new pitcher for GT who only gets 2 strike outs.

Watching Hall, you can see how he develops talent. It's a long season and we'll need the experience later.

Apologies to Murray, he is a sophomore! Murray's Grand Slam Lifts No. 20 Tech Past Rutgers, 13-1 - Georgia Tech Official Athletic Site

Stinger, we have a lot of pitching talent showing up so far in relievers. Sort of the opposite of last year. But it's a long season.

I had a long week last week and it was nice to have the game on in the background.

Well Stinger, we get to go for the sweep yesterday. No. 20 Tech Wins Fifth Straight By Rolling Past Rutgers, 11-2 - Georgia Tech Official Athletic Site

Rutgers has us a bunch of unearned runs and our error count has stayed low. It has to be hard to play baseball with snow flurries. It would seem that it would be hard to stay loose.

Today I go into do some work and I'll listen to the last game. Nice background.

Yup, I couldn't get the game through the fire wall where I was But great news on getting home.

I see Gonzalez got another error. At bat 4 times, two walks / hit by pitcher and one hit. Also saw that Speedy got another stolen base. So I guess overall, not a bad day!

We get 6 runs in the first. That is insane.

I would have liked to see the inning King pitched. He gave up two walks, one hit and had three strike outs. We were lucky they didn't score! Overall though it looks like the pitching is coming along ok. I have very high hopes for Smelter. He took care of his inning with 13 pitches. Cruz and Jillson looked pretty good too.

team looks great this year, only thing im worried about is midweek pitching it has been kinda shaky lately, after the first series i thought our offense wasn't gonna be to great this year but the bats sure have warmed up!

I think our relief pitching has been pretty good and will allow for Hall to substitute some of our relievers for the starters. Last year our weekend pitching was a patchwork so this is a great improvement.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when we get to ACC play. As Hall has said, somebody else seems to get hot every day hitting. Let's hope that keeps up.

Thought-out the season and post season (especially!). Our "BAT'S" will be(e) a big key as well.
