That is the downside to a "defensive "oriented team. When they are flat you are dead.

Looking at stats-we have no playmakers on this team.Mfon ought to be but he struggles. As lead PG he had 3 asst and 2 TOs in 27 mins.
Bolden is like a not quick nor aggressive enough-he had MOST mins but produced 5 pts, 1 assts,2 TOs,ZERO steals, zero REBS in 32 mins.It was like he stood in a corner and waited for the ball to come to him.Amazing.
The other guards- the 2 Pooles, Reed,ec had almost nothing in assts nor pts

Mark it down ,Sol Poole is not the answer to a winning record in ACC.So PG is riding his future here on the Jorgenson kid for next yr.Good luck.

This coach had problems on offense in Dayton and he brought it to Tech. Why not pound the paint with Carter, Hosley, and Miller??

The play was sloppy from start to finish. In my opinion the problem is the boys are tired , worn out if you will. The guys or most of them are not use to the grind of 30 game a years, remember they (most) are just out of hi school and not either physically or emotionally mature. When they get more experience CG will have them playing lights out.

You are RIGHT.But it is now up to the coach to get his team ready to play for the stretch. If they mail it in like yesterday ,PG will kill any momentum/buzz he had in program. Then,he HAS to get better recruits-it is not like he got all top 30 recruits this yr.

You people who watched are better than me. I listened to the baseball game and did yard work. I saw we were getting killed early on and had no desire to watch.

That's the prerogative of a fan - we can decide when to expose ourselves to pain and humiliation or whether to forgo the pain and humiliation. Fortunately no one here in Virginia is talking about basket ball either. UVa is a weak sister except at home. And VT has only beaten one ACC team this year - us.

You're lucky Nuke. I get to hear EVERY DAY how UM came out of absolutely no where this year, with a new coachl, & be ranked #2. Highest they were
EVER ranked was #13 in 2002. Thank God they lost to unranked Wake & are now #5. Can't wait until next week, 3/6 when we play them in Miami. (Sarcasm). Hopefully their free fall has begun.

Luckily, I was right about the free fall. UM has lost their last 3 out of 4, the last being to unrankd GT. What a great night. Our kids were SOOOOO happy. As I mentioned in another thread, hope the feeling transfers to the fb players & we see the same result October 5.
