• Miami at Georgia Tech Kickoff Time and TV Announced

    The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced kickoff times and TV for the September 22 games. Included is the Miami Hurricanes at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets game.

    Maryland at West Virginia, FX, Noon
    Virginia at TCU, ESPN or ESPN2, Noon
    Bowling Green at Virginia Tech, ESPNU, Noon
    Army at Wake Forest, ACC Network, 12:30 p.m.
    Miami at Georgia Tech, RSN, 3 p.m.
    East Carolina at North Carolina, ESPNU, 3:30 p.m.
    The Citadel at NC State, ESPN3, 6 p.m.
    Memphis at Duke, ESPN3, 6 p.m.
    Clemson at Florida State, ABC, 8 p.m.

      Canes are in full blown meltdown mode right now. In trolling their boards, several guys are marking the entire descent of the program on their 2005 loss to us, saying that they never really recovered after that.

      I was worried about Miami going into this season, but their defense is horrible. This should be a win for us if we don't give the game away like we did last year.

      I googled RSN today. It stands for Regional Sports Network. It Atlanta it's Fox Sports South.

      ah, thanks for answering my earlier question, jim.

      was hoping for an evening game. cooler temps and could get a later start in the morning outta south GA for ATL.

      From your mouth to God's ears. I have to live with these 'Canes fans & to them, GT is their biggest rival outside of Florida schools. They were stunned in 2005 & 2008.

      why not 2006 and 2007 also?

      In 2005, they were ranked #3 and had a good shot at the NC. I believe they still ended up in the top 10 at the end of the season, but that loss really killed the season for them. The 2008 loss to us was another big one for them, only because we ran up Xbox rushing numbers on their defense. The 2006 and 2007 losses didn't sting as much (pun intended).

      Their 2005 loss to us parallels our 1992 loss to FSU and Charlie Ward. We went into a death spiral for years after that one. It still hurts thinking about it and every time we play FSU that game comes to mind.
