• Saturday Smackdown: Georgia Tech vs Presbyterian Fun Facts

    The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets look to rebound after the Labor Day loss to Virginia Tech against the Presbyterian Blue Hose Saturday night. Here are fun facts to get you ready for the game.

    *The Presbyterian game will be the first of four consecutive home games for the Jackets. (Virginia - Sept. 15, Miami - Sept. 22, Middle Tennessee State - Aug. 29).

    *Georgia Tech is 3-0 all-time against Presbyterian. This is the first meeting since 1937.

    *The Jackets outscored Presbyterian 147-0 in those three games.

    *Last time Tech played against a team from Presbyterian's conference (Big South) they had to block a kick late in the game to seal a 10-7 win over Gardner-Webb.

    *Tech is currently ranked 32nd in the Coaches' poll and 33rd in the AP poll.

    *The Jackets' last two games were overtime losses, against Utah in the Sun Bowl and this past Monday against Virginia Tech.

    *Tech used just one true freshman in the Virginia Tech game, WR Anthony Autry.

    *Paul Johnson is 20-5 at home in his four years on The Flats.
