• Grayson RB Wayne Gallman Talks Georgia Tech Offer

Wayne Gallman is a 6-1, 195 pound running back that has been offered by Georgia Tech.

The Grayson High School (Loganville, GA) product also claims Clemson, Vanderbilt and Auburn offers and says he is receiving attention from many top ACC and SEC teams.

Gallman likes the Georgia Tech offense and talked about where he may fit in Paul Johnson’s scheme.

“I think that I’d be an A-back but could also play the B-back,” Gallman said.

Gallman has the frame to take on more weight and with 4.45 speed he could bring the size and explosiveness that Paul Johnson likes to attack the opponent’s interior defense.

Interesting that it looks like Gallman is being targeted on offense as an A-back, as he is a damn good linebacker, as well.

With his size/speed package he can probably play anywhere he wants. Well spoken, nice kid, too.

Looks like a good prospect. If he doesn't play BB, at least he would add size to AB.

Is this an offer for this year's class? I guess Miles Jones is being pushed further down the list.

      I think it's next year.

He looks pretty good on defense.

The article is a free, quick read.

He won't report to a college campus for another 18 months so adding another 15-20 pounds (which will most likely happen) will make him David Sims type size as a true freshman.

Sure would be nice to win a recruiting battle against Clemson, AU, etc for a RB. That's another position it's hard to recruit upper tier players for, even if we do run 80% of the time. We really need to land a good BB prospect since our last one hasn't panned out yet.

I just don't feel stoked about him at running back.
Granted, the film I saw was pretty limited.

      247 Sports has him as a 4 Star, 92; which is where the #122 - #165 player / #18 - #22 RB in the country are.

Keep in mind, his offensive numbers are VERY limited because he plays in an offense that features multiple waves of running backs. He was one of four backs to rush for more than 500 yards for Grayson this season, and he averaged about 5 yards per carry and scored 7 TDs.

Yeah, Grayson likes to share the rock with a lot of guys that are capable. Very selfless team and setup. They primarily run a wing-T.

This kid would be a great addition to the GT squad - he comes from a very good program. This years Grayson HS reminds me of the old days when Nationally Ranked Miami High would dress like 100 players and and overwhelm you even before the kickoff. Send waves of players at you during the game. Grayson went undefeated, won State Championship game. One game they gave up 31 pts, one game 17 pts, 14 pts. twice, 9 games they gave up 7 pts or less.

It will be interesting to see what this kid can do once he gets out of the shadow of that man-child that Grayson had in their backfield. I can't recall his name but whoever ends up with him will have a true 5 star on their roster.

That would be Robert Nkemdiche, who will DEFINITELY be playing DL in college. While I'd expect Nkemdiche to get a lot of work in the backfield again next year, I'd also Gallman to get more carries and yards next year, since Grayson's leading rusher, Devin Gillespie, will be graduating in the spring.

And like I said, Gallman is also a really good LB, too. He'd be a great get no matter which side of the ball he eventually plays on.

LOL. Robert Nkemdiche. The #1 rated player in the country for 2013. 5 Star DT.

I just went to look up Robert Nk to see where he is going to school next year. Yikes!!!! He's just a junior!!! He's going to be back in HS!!

I saw about half of the state championship game. The way he ran the ball, I thought he was their #1 RB.

I watched Grayson play Colquitt Co. in the semis and the OL blocking him, owned him. The kid from Grayson's name was hardly mentioned. That is who I would be recruiting. I do not have an affiliation with either of these programs and live in Marietta so this is not a biased response. I am just reporting what I saw with my own eyes. I was watching the Grayson kid with much interest but went away from that game more impressed with the kid on the other side of the line.
