GTSportsTalk's Jim Hart spoke with former Georgia Tech star Vance Walker after the Falcons 26-23 overtime loss to the Saints.
Walker has been in the defensive tackle rotation since early last season and has played well, usually garnering twenty to thirty snaps per game and has developed a strong camaraderie with his defensive line mates.
In addition to the familiarity that three years with the same organization brings, Vance has some familiar faces with him now. Former Georgia Tech players Kevin Cone and Mike Cox are playing with the Falcons this season.
Cone came into fall camp a long shot, but his hard work earned him a slot on the practice squad and Cox joined the Falcons a few weeks ago to replace injured fullback Ovie Mughelli.
Vance talked about having the two Georgia Tech players join him on the Falcons roster this season.
“It’s nice to have some Tech boys back, you know. It is always nice to see familiar faces and people you have played with.”
