• Falcons Sign Third Former Georgia Tech Player

The Atlanta Falcons have announced that former Georgia Tech fullback Mike Cox has been signed to the active roster.

Former Georgia Tech players Vance Walker and Kevin Cone are currently on the Atlanta Falcons roster. Walker sees extensive action off the bench at defensive tackle and Cone is on Atlanta's practice squad.

Atlanta needed to acquire another fullback after starter Ovie Mughelli was placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in last Sunday's 24-17 win against the Detroit Lions.

Cox, 6-0, 252 pounds, was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as a college free agent out of Georgia Tech in 2008. He played in 32 games (15 starts) with the Chiefs, notching four carries for three yards with one touchdown in addition to adding 18 catches for 98 yards in passing game.

Cox's brother Luke, who also played at Georgia Tech, was signed by the Falcons last summer and played several exhibition games.
